The biggest difference between us and other sellers is simply UPFRONT PRICING. There are many sellers of shipping containers online these days. The vast majority advertise prices that you will quickly find are just a misleading hook to get you interested. Our prices are an all-in representation of what you can expect to pay.
Available Inventory
We keep in our inventory mostly New / 1 Trip units as they represent our highest demand. We however can get any other condition or type unit that you need within the scope of a 20‘ or 40’ unit. For the New / 1 Trip boxes we typically stock the Ivory color but have access to many colors. Some units that we do not stock may take 10 or so days to deliver to your site. To be more specific, we sell double end door units, side door units, and used containers in both sizes. Feel free to reach out for a quote if you do not see what you want listed on the site.
Pricing
Shed Happens strives to provide the most competitive pricing on the containers we sell. Margins are actually quite small on shipping containers due to the high cost of transportation from the port and storage facilities. As they are tied to the global economy, prices do go up and down during the year. We are careful to quote the price of a container that we do not have in stock until we check the daily market price. Once we lock in your order, our word is gold and the price you were quoted is what you will pay.
Common Uses
Most of the shipping containers we sell are used for secure storage. We however have had customers that use them to build out other structures such as storm shelters, tiny homes and offices.
Delivery
The delivery of a shipping container can become complicated if there is not some basic planning ahead of time. With a little effort, you will find that the delivery is a smooth and efficient process. We will need to know when your order is placed if you would like the doors of the unit to be facing the cab of our truck or the rear of our trailer. Our delivery truck will back the container into the spot that you have selected. The container will then be tilted up in the air and our truck will drive out from underneath the unit.

We sell a variety of sizes and styles of shipping containers. A little planning for the delivery of a container to your property can ensure a smooth and problem-free process. For the 40’ units our truck will need 125’ of space including the spot where the container will sit. To better describe the process, our trailer will tilt and the truck will drive out from under the container, leaving it on the ground. During the unloading process, the truck has to drive in a straight line until the container is completely unloaded. The container doors will be harder to open if the ground under the doors is not level. It is up to the property owner to have a spot prepared for delivery of the container. If the property owner chooses to place timbers, gravel or blocks under the unit, we will do our best to accommodate their decision at delivery. Once unloaded from our trailer, the driver has no way to level the unit.

For the successful delivery of a 20’ container, a little planning goes a long way. We will need 70’ of space in a straight line, to include where the container will sit. To better describe the process, our truck will tilt its bed until the leading edge of the container is on the ground. The truck will then pull forward until the container is completely unloaded. During the unloading process the truck must drive in a straight line. The doors of your container will be easier to open if the ground below is level. It is up to the property owner to provide a well prepared spot. If the owner wishes to place timbers, gravel or block under the unit, we will do our best to let those be placed while we are unloading. Once the container has been unloaded, our driver will have no way to level it.
